It's interesting that the prize is specifically aimed at promoting promising Italian architects, which raises a question about how such awards shape emerging practices beyond recognition. Does being shortlisted mainly bring visibility, or does it also open doors to commissions and collaborations that wouldn't otherwise happen? The partnership with Triennale Milano and MAXXI suggests institutional weight behind the selection, so I'd be curious whether that translates into lasting support for the finalists' work.
